Director, Financial Crime Industry Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for Flagright at various industry events, including panels, webinars, roundtables, and community forums.

• Develop and sustain connections with senior leaders in financial crime, AML, fraud, sanctions, compliance, regulatory affairs, investigative sectors, and fintech.

• Contribute to the formulation of Flagright’s community and industry engagement strategy within the United States.

• Collaborate with regional Event Leads and Field Marketing Managers to establish event themes, speaker strategies, audience quality, and discussion formats.

• Function as a credible moderator, panelist, host, or Flagright representative when senior domain expertise is necessary.

• Recognize emerging themes in financial crime, regulatory discussions, operational challenges, and practitioner concerns that should influence Flagright’s market positioning.

• Work alongside the Director of Research & Insights to provide expert input, quotes, validation, and practitioner perspectives for reports and thought leadership initiatives.

• Assist in creating high-quality industry dialogues, which include executive roundtables, exclusive dinners, panels, fireside chats, and practitioner briefings.

• Aid Flagright in establishing connections with relevant associations, communities, NGOs, former regulators, investigators, fintech compliance leaders, and banking professionals.

• Offer internal insights to Sales, Product, and Marketing teams regarding trends in financial crime, buyer concerns, and market credibility gaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive working knowledge of AML, financial crime, fraud, sanctions, compliance, regulatory developments, and financial services risk landscapes.

• Proven experience engaging with financial crime practitioners, compliance leaders, regulators, investigators, fintech operators, or banking stakeholders.

• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to confidently engage senior audiences and cultivate meaningful industry connections.

• Strong public speaking skills and comfort in representing the company at external events such as conferences, panels, roundtables, webinars, executive dinners, and industry forums.

• Naturally inquisitive, personable, and motivated by the creation of communities, facilitation of conversations, and establishment of robust professional networks within the industry.

• Ability to interpret industry discussions, challenges, and market developments into strategic insights and market positioning opportunities.

• Excellent verbal communication and moderation skills, with the ability to lead engaging discussions and act as a credible representative of the industry.

• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently driving initiatives, relationships, and engagement opportunities from concept to execution.

• Strong judgment, professionalism, and credibility when interacting with senior industry stakeholders and external communities.

• Located in New York with the right to work in the USA (visa sponsorship is not available).

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
