Director – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Serve as the financial partner to the TPG Publisher and executive leadership, delivering valuable financial analysis, strategic guidance, and decision-making support.

• Develop periodic budgets; monitor and report on performance relative to budget, analyze discrepancies, and spearhead initiatives to enhance revenue and profitability.

• Create and deliver detailed financial reports, analyses, and presentations to TPG’s Publisher and other senior executives; provide actionable insights aimed at boosting profitability.

• Ensure compliance with all financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• MBA is highly preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive financial experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position.

• Proven experience as a strategic financial business partner, offering advice to senior executives and influencing business decisions.

• Strong knowledge of publishing industry financials, including revenue recognition, royalty accounting, inventory management, and production costs.

• Outstanding analytical abilities with the capacity to convert complex financial data into actionable insights and clear presentations.

• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Advanced Excel skills are essential (xlookup, index/match, pivots, etc.); proficiency in PowerPoint is required; familiarity with SAP/AO and Power BI is a plus.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships at all organizational levels.
