This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and direct CAQH’s cloud and infrastructure strategies in alignment with the organization’s objectives.
• Create and enforce architectural standards for infrastructure, cloud, identity, and DevOps.
• Spearhead cloud modernization, insourcing initiatives, and the evolution of platforms.
• Promote secure and cost-effective adoption of Azure-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Supervise the implementation of a Cloud Standard Operating Environment along with consistent architectural and operational frameworks.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and business stakeholders to outline future infrastructure requirements.
• Direct vendor assessment and the implementation of cloud and infrastructure technologies.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and decision-maker for vital infrastructure architecture choices.
• Advocate for infrastructure automation, observability, cost optimization, and the adoption of AI tools.
• Establish and monitor metrics for reliability, performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead efforts in coordinating security posture, identity management, and business continuity plans.
• Inform senior leadership of progress, challenges, and risks.
• Oversee enterprise end-user computing, which includes device lifecycle management, warranty and refresh planning, and endpoint management.
• Manage the relationship with outsourced IT support vendors, including SLAs, escalations, VIP support, and performance evaluations.
• Handle major infrastructure or end-user incidents through vendor escalation, root cause analysis, status updates, and resolution.
• Lead and supervise Cloud Engineers, Infrastructure Specialists, and DevOps professionals.
• Set team objectives, provide coaching and feedback, support career development, and oversee the hiring and onboarding process.
• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability culture.
• More than 10 years of progressive experience in IT, cloud engineering, or infrastructure architecture.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams and overseeing strategic initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native environments within Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in guiding enterprise-level transformations and managing hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and infrastructure strategy.
• Capability to convert business requirements into scalable and secure infrastructure and DevOps solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of IAM, encryption, network security, and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Proven track record in leading infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform or Bicep.
• Experience with CI/CD modernization initiatives.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe delivery methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI assistants and developer tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot.
• Ability to evaluate security, privacy, and governance considerations for AI tools in regulated healthcare environments.
• Proven ownership and proactive communication skills during high-severity incidents.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification in Azure Architecture, Cloud Security, or DevOps is strongly preferred.
