📋 Description

• Supervise and coordinate several software engineering teams, ensuring they operate efficiently and are in alignment with the organization's goals.

• Offer mentorship and career growth opportunities to engineering managers and senior engineers, aiding their development as leaders.

• Spearhead initiatives to attract, hire, and retain exceptional engineering talent – ensuring the formation of high-performing, diverse teams that work collaboratively.

• Cultivate an environment where teams take pride and ownership in their products and in Rithum as a whole. Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive, and innovative engineering culture that resonates with company values and encourages teamwork, diversity, and collaboration.

• Promote a proactive approach to responsibility (identifying issues before clients do) and instill a sense of ownership and urgency in quickly addressing client-facing production challenges. Foster a culture where individuals not only identify problems but also contribute to solutions.

• Create and articulate a long-term technical vision and strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. Collaborate with C-level executives to turn business requirements into actionable engineering strategies.

• Work alongside product management to develop and prioritize the engineering roadmap, ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet project deadlines and business objectives.

• Plan and oversee the engineering budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization while balancing project demands with cost limitations.

• Ensure that your team is educated, aware, and compliant with Rithum's software development processes and standards, including Scrum agile development, automated testing, internationalization, usability, scalability, and service-oriented architecture initiatives.

• Continuously evaluate and enhance development processes to boost efficiency, minimize bottlenecks, and improve collaboration between engineering and other departments.

• Oversee the design and development of sophisticated software solutions that scale across numerous servers while meeting stringent fault tolerance criteria.

• Regularly update the executive team on progress, technical challenges, and project results, providing insights that inform broader business strategies.

• Ensure alignment among all stakeholders, including product, operations, and business leaders, regarding technical initiatives and effectively managing expectations.

• Engage with key clients, partners, and external stakeholders as needed, providing technical expertise and ensuring the smooth delivery of software products.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software development within the SaaS industry.

• Experience with AWS data services.

• Strong SQL skills at scale with columnar/analytical query engines (such as Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent).

• Proficient in data warehouse design and ETL/ELT pipeline architecture.

• Familiarity with data lake patterns.

• Knowledge of streaming or near-real-time data patterns (such as Kafka, Kinesis, or similar).

• Proven experience in ensuring data quality, governance, and schema management.

• Demonstrated ability to build and retain engaged, high-performing software development teams.

• Experience managing the complete software development lifecycle of SaaS applications at scale.

• Proven track record of navigating a fast-paced, dynamic industry (such as e-commerce) and delivering products that capture market share.

• Experience utilizing AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to enhance outcomes; including but not limited to communication drafting, data analysis, prompt engineering, and/or documentation.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
