This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• Accountable for securing and expanding major and planned contributions in alignment with the ALS Association’s strategic objectives and mission.
• Establish philanthropic collaborations with individuals and foundations to acquire planned and immediate gifts ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.
• Identify, qualify, nurture, solicit, and manage relationships with supporters to enhance revenue.
• Collaborate with other Development staff to obtain major and planned donations from donors within their portfolios.
• Partner with the Sr Director on fundraising strategies and objectives.
• Maintain a mindset of abundance, persistence, and urgency.
• Stay informed about mission-related information on research, advocacy, and care services offered by the Association to inspire philanthropic support.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in major gift fundraising.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in planned giving, including discussions and closures involving bequests, beneficiary designations, and charitable gift annuities.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• A self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills.
• Proven experience in effectively engaging with a diverse team, as well as a variety of donors, volunteers, and community members.
• Collaboration skills essential for partnering with field Development colleagues in achieving Territory revenue targets.
• Strong communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
• Dedication to equity and inclusion with a natural inclination to work and collaborate with diverse groups.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic team environment and adapt to organizational changes.
• Commitment to learning and utilizing new technologies to enhance efficiency and implement strategies.
