This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot high-impact pipelines that connect our business systems, including CRM, billing, and internal platforms to our Snowflake warehouse, facilitating bi-directional data flow.
• Take ownership of the data strategy and architecture over a multi-year timeline, while maintaining an in-depth, hands-on understanding of the systems and their edge cases.
• Establish technical guidelines and standards for pipeline design, data modeling, and data quality throughout the organization; personally tackle and deliver on the most complex or uncertain tasks.
• Build, organize, and lead an expanding Data organization of over 5 members, encompassing Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and Analytics.
• Manage headcount planning, hiring strategies, and budget allocation for the Data organization.
• Collaborate with the Chief Product and Technology Officer and cross-functional leaders to convert company strategy into data contracts and platform investments.
• Conduct audits of current integrations and automations to identify what needs replacement and how to prioritize that work.
• Advocate for AI and automation enablement across the company, ensuring that agents and LLM use cases are built on a trustworthy data foundation, while remaining actively involved in constructing select enablement capabilities.
• A minimum of 8 years in data or software engineering, including at least 4 years of experience managing engineers.
• Proven track record in building and leading a multidisciplinary data organization (data, ML, analytics, software) with a team of 5 or more individuals.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with a solid foundation in Master Data Management (MDM), possessing the technical expertise to lead by example.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (or a similar platform), dbt, and orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect, beyond just a theoretical understanding.
• Direct experience in formulating AI and LLM enablement strategy and working with LLM tooling.
• Comfortable functioning at a Director level (*overseeing budgets, advocating for roadmaps, and translating technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders*) while remaining actively engaged in technical execution.
• Base Salary ($200,000 - $230,000) + Bonus (15%)
