Director, Cyber Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee global security operations 24/7 using a follow-the-sun approach that covers AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions.

• Manage the entire incident response lifecycle, from triage to post-incident evaluation.

• Lead the Cyber Threat Intelligence initiative and maintain the intelligence-to-defense cycle.

• Establish detection-as-code practices throughout the detection lifecycle.

• Work collaboratively with the AI-Driven Cyber Defense team to embed automation and machine learning into operational processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, threat intelligence, or SOC leadership.

• At least 5 years in a senior leadership position overseeing a globally distributed team.

• Proven experience in operationalizing threat intelligence to enhance detection coverage and defensive architecture.

• Strong understanding of incident response methodologies and escalation procedures.

• Background in managing geographically diverse teams with cultural sensitivity.
