This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Perform prompt, comprehensive, and impartial investigations of both employee and third-party complaints, which include interviewing relevant stakeholders, reviewing documentation, analyzing employee data, and preparing oral and written reports as requested by internal Employment Law counsel.
• Provide counsel to assigned clients on employment law matters that emerge in the routine management of their respective areas/businesses and offer proactive guidance to ensure adherence to various laws and regulations impacting the Company’s business operations, including, but not limited to, recruitment, performance management, workforce reductions, accommodations, restrictive covenants, compensation practices, employee engagement and retention, artificial intelligence, as well as employment background checks and drug testing.
• Collaborate with Employee Relations to uphold employment policies that comply with relevant state and federal laws.
• Support the employment and labor legal alerts process and undertake special projects as required.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting employment law investigations and providing counsel on employment and labor law issues.
• Proven strong working knowledge of US Federal and State/local employment laws.
• Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and investigative capabilities, with the ability to apply these skills across diverse business and corporate environments.
• High degree of initiative and meticulous attention to detail.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adhere to deadlines.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and demonstrated expertise in utilizing artificial intelligence.
• Ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
• Experience in advising on Employment Law related to artificial intelligence is preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey or another U.S. state.
