This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and enhance the global content marketing strategy to boost brand visibility, drive new logo acquisition, expand customer base, support product launches, enhance customer retention, and establish thought leadership.
• Convert business goals into practical content strategies that span the entire buyer and customer journey.
• Direct content planning and prioritization across various channels, target audiences, and geographical regions.
• Ensure that all content is consistent with brand messaging, positioning, and strategic product marketing narratives.
• Promote the integration of AI in content creation, revolutionizing workflow approaches (beyond mere tasks), adapting the team's role in the AI-driven landscape, and effectively balancing AI capabilities with human insight and oversight.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a team of content creators located across different regions.
• Establish clear roles, workflows, and success metrics to achieve operational excellence.
• Nurture a culture centered on creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Supervise the creation of high-impact content including thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, case studies, web pages, email copy, video scripts, social media content, and more.
• Review and enhance content quality, ensuring it meets standards of clarity, accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
• Collaborate with our Brand/Creative Services teams to produce engaging multimedia content.
• Work closely with the broader marketing and Go-to-Market team to grasp priorities and translate them into effective content strategies.
• Ensure that content aligns with key commercial initiatives such as campaigns, product launches, ABM programs, sales enablement, and customer growth.
• Build strong internal relationships to gather insights, customer stories, and subject-matter expertise.
• Oversee the effective communication of content resources and how to leverage them within the marketing and wider go-to-market team, ensuring alignment with broader internal communication strategies.
• Define content KPIs that are linked to business outcomes.
• Monitor content performance using analytics tools and provide regular insights and recommendations.
• Foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven optimization across various formats and channels.
• Demonstrated ability to connect content strategy with commercial results, revenue objectives, and customer requirements.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions within the Sophos portfolio, particularly in Endpoint, Firewall, MDR, and security services.
• Strong editorial judgment along with exceptional writing and editing capabilities.
• In-depth understanding of SEO, content distribution, and multi-channel strategies.
• Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and align with business priorities.
• Experience in utilizing AI for content creation.
• Capacity to develop a high-performing content team that consistently delivers impactful, on-brand content.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships across cross-functional teams while working remotely.
• Skill in simplifying complex concepts into easily digestible content.
• Proficient in managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines with robust project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Desirable: Experience in managing and developing high-performing content teams.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and technologies for social content creation.
