Director, Consumer Data Platform – Analytics Enablement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the corporate Enterprise Data & AI and Consumer Data Teams to manage the Consumer division’s curated ("silver" and "gold") data layers, ensuring the integration of external market data with corporate sources in accordance with enterprise lakehouse and governance standards.

• Lead the initiative for data “AI-readiness” to future-proof the data ecosystem, which includes the curation of metadata and documentation of business logic.

• Create and maintain the Consumer BI ecosystem on the corporate lakehouse platform (e.g., PowerBI, Databricks), facilitating scalable self-service capabilities for analysts and business users.

• Support the incorporation of AI into business reporting and foundational analysis, aimed at developing early warning systems and identifying significant business trends for further exploration.

• Collaborate with leadership in the Consumer division to ensure that downstream analysis applications and the BI stack provide reliable, efficient, and valuable service.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of relevant experience (with a preference for backgrounds in consumer tech, consumer electronics, or CPG industries).

• Proven track record of driving business impact through the development of data ecosystems, data engineering, or leadership in Development/Operations (DevOps) organizations.

• Experience in data modeling and harmonization, including collaboration with vendors that have diverse product/timing hierarchies.

• Capability to achieve strong data transformation results while adhering to corporate guardrails (such as security and access, governance, intake, and prioritization).

• Experience in designing AI-ready data platforms, which includes semantic modeling, metadata management, and governed self-service analytics.

• Direct experience with AI implementation is advantageous but not mandatory for this position.
