This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversees operational management and continuous improvement of the USACS Compliance & Ethics and Privacy Program, incorporating the seven essential elements of an effective compliance program.
• Advocates for the uniform application of USACS’s Code of Conduct, compliance policies, and privacy standards while nurturing a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making throughout the organization.
• Builds trusted relationships across the organization and acts as a strategic advisor to leadership on compliance, privacy, governance, and emerging operational risks.
• Recognizes existing and emerging risks related to compliance, privacy, operations, and technology, collaborating cross-functionally to devise mitigation strategies, corrective actions, and governance solutions.
• Contributes to the ongoing development of the compliance program through process improvement, technology integration, data-driven insights, and continuous enhancement initiatives.
• Creates impactful compliance reporting, dashboards, and trend analysis to facilitate risk-based prioritization, operational decision-making, and adaptation to evolving regulatory and organizational priorities.
• Serves as a consultative resource for USACS leaders on compliance and privacy issues, providing recommendations to refine policies, procedures, and internal controls as necessary.
• Guides, develops, and mentors departmental staff while promoting accountability, collaboration, operational excellence, and ongoing professional development.
• Collaborates with Information Security, Information Technology, Legal, and operational stakeholders to ensure proper safeguards, alignment in technology governance, and responsible usage of digital tools and systems.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in business, Healthcare, or a related field of study.
• Minimum of 7 years of compliance experience within healthcare provider settings (hospital/physician practice).
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) is required, or candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain one of these certifications within six (6) months of employment.
• Certification in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) is required or candidates must be eligible/willing to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
• Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements relevant to physician practice and healthcare operations is essential.
• Exhibits strong judgment, professionalism, discretion, and the capacity to manage sensitive and confidential matters appropriately.
• Proven ability to effectively lead, mentor, and develop team members in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn and manage various online databases.
