Director, Compliance and Accreditation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Overseeing and providing strategic direction for the Company's Compliance Program.

• Leading both initial and ongoing initiatives related to healthcare accreditations.

• Identifying and evaluating areas of compliance risk within the organization.

• Collaborating with cross-functional leadership to ensure adherence to compliant practices.

• Articulating the significance of the Compliance Program to executive management.

• Drafting and disseminating the written Code of Conduct.

• Creating and executing educational programs focused on compliance and the Code of Conduct.

• Establishing a retaliation-free internal reporting mechanism.

• Partnering with executive management to effectively integrate the Compliance Program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise and experience with healthcare-specific compliance and regulatory frameworks.

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.

• A law degree is preferred, especially with a focus on health care law and knowledge of fraud and abuse, the Sunshine Act, HIPAA, and the HITRUST Act.

• Relevant healthcare compliance certification, such as CHC, is preferred.

• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement issues is preferred.

• Experience in auditing or as a CPA is advantageous.

• Background in reporting and addressing compliance challenges is preferred.

• Strong persuasive skills and dedication in conducting investigations.

• Knowledgeable about Telehealth and Federal and State regulations.

• Demonstrated success in guiding an organization through healthcare/digital health/telehealth accreditation processes (e.g., URAC, HiTrust, ISO27001) is preferred.

• Experience in a start-up environment is preferred.
