Director, Clinical Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Clinical Supply teams, including Supply Chain Leads and other roles focused on execution, as part of a comprehensive global supply chain management function.

• Offer managerial guidance to multiple employees while taking overall responsibility for leading, training, and mentoring to ensure optimal performance.

• Establish strategic relationships with internal stakeholders to guarantee alignment.

• Supervise the development of Clinical Supply Plans and Demand forecasts, as well as the packaging and distribution processes.

• Manage cGMP inventory throughout the supply chain and ensure accountability for drug products.

• Represent the Clinical Supply Chain organization on the Development Review Committee (DRC) and the Development Core Team (DCT).

• Formulate supply strategies aimed at enhancing supply efficiency, reducing waste, while identifying risks and creating risk mitigation plans.

• Prepare and oversee the functional budget for the Clinical Supply Chain.

• Responsible for investigating exceptions to identify root causes, implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), and ensuring resolution.

• Champion projects and process enhancements related to clinical drug supply.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with substantial involvement in clinical supply chains within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting global clinical trials, specifically in Phases I through III.

• Comprehensive knowledge of packaging, labeling, distribution, and sourcing of comparator drugs.

• Profound understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) regulations.

• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams.

• Outstanding stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
