Director, Clinical Documentation Integrity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, planning, development, execution, and upkeep of the CDI program.

• Manage initiatives related to Mid Revenue Cycle and CDI projects.

• Ensure processes comply with regulatory and legal standards.

• Lead and supervise the Clinical Documentation Integrity team.

• Work in partnership with Coding and HIM leadership to optimize results.

• Foster education, engagement, and collaboration among physicians and providers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from a Nursing program, BSN, or a relevant clinical field of study.

• Master's degree in clinical, business, or a leadership discipline is necessary.

• Valid state Registered Nurse license is required.

• Certification in CDI is highly desirable.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting; 2-3 years in a managerial role.

• Experience in clinical documentation within an acute care environment is preferred.

• Must hold board certification and possess a solid understanding of clinical documentation principles.
