This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• The Director of Business Development is tasked with expanding the market for our products and services, with a primary focus on upgrade and modification initiatives across the four segments within the Engineered Products division.

• Oversee and direct the Bid & Proposal team.

• Formulate marketing strategies for a product line, platform, OEM, and/or market segment.

• Develop and manage specific sales projects and campaigns.

• Generate sales project and month-end reports as necessary.

• Act as the financial lead on all programs, collaborating with the Growth Team to produce financial statement proformas concerning the financial status of all programs.

• Conduct sales and business development reviews by country for assigned projects and opportunities, including managing Rolling Actions Item Lists (RAIL’s) and ensuring follow-up on the execution of annual strategies.

• Create Business Development packages aimed at marketing and sales efforts.

• Prepare proposals for clients on specific projects, collaborating with OEMs for pricing, lead times, and coordinating with internal finance and legal teams.

• Provide program management support for projects as necessary.

• Participate in various military conferences and Air Shows to jointly promote products with OEMs to military and defense customers.

• Serve as a liaison to the Finance group regarding all finance-related inquiries, including projects, budgets, and costs.

• Engage in other business development, marketing, and sales activities, including in-country demonstrations and customer pitches.

• Manage relationships with OEMs and conduct business reviews for project-related sales.

• Comprehend and execute functions in line with AS9120 and ISO9001 Standards.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.

• At least 7 years of diversified and progressively responsible experience in small to medium-sized manufacturing environments, including 3 years in supervisory roles.

• Proven proficiency in Sales and/or Sales Management.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with Salesforce.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information effectively.

• Capability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

• Proficient in presenting information and responding to inquiries from groups of managers.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.

• Skill in addressing problems that involve a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to leverage large data sets for decision-making.

• Competence in performing calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

• Basic knowledge of geometric tolerance is necessary.

• Understanding of basic shop math is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and the order generation process logic is needed.

• Familiarity with databases and spreadsheets is required.

• Ability to organize workflow and meetings effectively.

• Previous experience in the aerospace and defense industry serving global customers is necessary.

• Strong skills in organization, project management, and proposal management are essential.

• Must be capable of managing and prioritizing workflow efficiently.

• Possess problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement focus.

• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting is a must.
