This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive and achieve corporate revenue goals within the established timelines and budget limitations.
• Ensure that the volume, market share, and sales fundamentals (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, and Shelving) are met for designated customers at the lowest feasible cost.
• Attain objectives while reducing selling expenses and maximizing company revenue through brokerage, commissions, bonuses, and contest earnings.
• Efficiently manage manufacturers' spending at the customer level.
• Develop and present comprehensive business plans, conveying principals' priorities to various managers and the retail selling organization to meet in-store presence and business goals.
• Establish and nurture excellent business relationships with all customers, personally connecting with key decision-makers.
• Act as the primary contact for customer-specific matters, including Category Management, Consumer Shopping Behavior, and Promotions Strategies.
• Create systems for managing trade-marketing funds according to company guidelines and policies, aiming to reduce sales-related deductions.
• Provide guidance and support to Business Managers in managing their accounts and improving their understanding of principal accounts.
• Maintain outstanding relationships with principals, representing the company on significant issues and leveraging multi-functional resources for business advantage.
• Cultivate relationships with key manufacturers to identify new business opportunities and enhance principals' business.
• Utilize strong analytical skills, including Category Management, to enhance business outcomes and stay informed about industry trends.
• Exhibit leadership qualities that align with the company's culture, and develop and oversee the performance of assigned Business Managers.
• Undertake special projects as assigned, ensuring all physical requirements are satisfied.
• High School Diploma/GED
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must possess a proven track record in a sales role with a food broker or a major national company.
• Prior experience should reflect sales skills with the ability to effectively manage and direct others.
• Experience with CVS or within the drug channel is preferred.
• Proficiency in various software applications that support the sales function.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, negotiation, and sales skills are essential.
• Ability to analyze sales and marketing data necessary for effective sales presentations.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• This role necessitates driving on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing; therefore, any DUI/DWI conviction within the past 36 months will disqualify a candidate.
