Digital Asset Management Specialist, GCC Africa

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage the DAM system to ensure optimal organization, accessibility, and performance.

• Create and implement metadata schemas, taxonomy, tagging, and asset lifecycle policies.

• Perform audits to verify asset accuracy, compliance, and relevance.

• Uphold standards and address recurring governance issues as they arise.

• Adapt metadata structures to align with evolving business needs and enhance discoverability.

• Collaborate with the Web Team to oversee asset deployment within AEM Sites.

• Ensure that assets are correctly tagged, linked, and optimized for web utilization.

• Resolve AEM asset issues and provide support to content authors and developers.

• Align asset workflows with publishing schedules and content strategies.

• Work together with global marketing and creative teams to ingest and catalog assets.

• Provide training to team members on DAM best practices and governance.

• Enable efficient retrieval and reuse of assets across various campaigns.

• Maintain rights management and usage guidelines for both licensed and proprietary content.

• Ensure compliance with brand and accessibility standards.

• Monitor asset usage and governance compliance, suggesting improvements as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience managing a DAM system, ideally AEM, in a creative or marketing context.

• Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), particularly in asset management and site integration.

• Strong grasp of metadata schema design, taxonomy, and digital asset workflows.

• Experience working collaboratively with creative, marketing, and web teams.

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of digital rights management, accessibility standards, and brand governance.

• Experience with AEM Sites and/or AEM Assets module (professional certification is highly desirable).

• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and web publishing processes.

• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Jira) and creative platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud).

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is an advantage.
