Dietitian, Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develops, implements, and delivers dietary interventions, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition care, and preventive counseling for both individuals and groups.

• Offers medical nutrition therapy services and oversees the nutritional care of clients, patients, and residents across all age groups.

• Assesses nutritional status via nutritional evaluations, creates personalized care plans, provides provider order recommendations, and executes nutrition therapy.

• Provides dietary education tailored to specific disease states, medical conditions, and health risks.

• Enhances self-management education and skills for clients, patients, and residents dealing with chronic conditions.

• Collaborates on nutrition care protocols and serves as a leader within the healthcare team to facilitate the implementation of nutrition therapies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).

• Required clinical nutrition experience obtained through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or successful completion of a postgraduate internship.

• Must currently possess a Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the applicable state(s).

• Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is mandatory.

• Temporary or limited permit nutritionist licenses may be accepted for registry-eligible candidates awaiting their CDR examination, with two exam attempts permitted within three months of employment.
