This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver medical nutrition therapy and licensed dietitian services as instructed by the Chief Clinical Dietitian.
• Perform nutrition screenings and comprehensive nutritional evaluations for residents.
• Create, implement, and oversee personalized nutrition care plans.
• Offer nutrition counseling and patient education tailored to residents' medical and dietary requirements.
• Record assessments, interventions, and treatment results in the Clinical Record System.
• Prepare written or dictated reports for each patient treatment session.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation are maintained.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams for effective resident care coordination.
• Monitor residents' nutritional status and modify care plans as necessary.
• Complete facility-required reports and documentation following established policies.
• Ensure adherence to state, federal, facility, and professional practice standards.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Respond to calls within four hours unless extended by the HHS Agency Contract Manager.
• Provide services outside regular business hours only when requested and approved in writing.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Completion of a Tier 1 Background Investigation, which includes a National Agency Check with Law and Credit Check and fingerprinting.
• Must possess and maintain Registered Dietitian and/or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credentials in good standing with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant dietitian and clinical experience in military or civilian environments.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Capability to work remotely from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time.
• Ability to respond to calls within four hours unless extended by the HHS Agency Contract Manager.
• Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition screening, nutritional assessment, nutrition counseling, and patient education.
• Experience in documenting clinical information within a Clinical Record System.
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements and relevant state, federal, facility, and professional standards.
