This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.
β’ Analyzing incoming 3D CAD part designs for Injection Molding and other tooling technologies;
β’ Reviewing Injection Molding Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reports and challenging the technical solutions provided by manufacturers;
β’ Engaging with external customers through video calls to explain DFM reports, gather feedback, and discuss technical solutions with manufacturers across Europe and Asia;
β’ Optimizing part 3D CAD designs and addressing design feasibility issues when necessary;
β’ Collaborating in meetings to resolve quality claims related to Injection Molding, High Pressure Die Casting, and other tooling technologies alongside a cross-functional team and external customers;
β’ Participating in pre-sales meetings with the Sales Team and external clients via video calls, providing support for technical queries related to potential projects.
β’ A degree in engineering, specifically as a thermoplastic processing engineer, plastic part design engineer, or mechanical design engineer (with a focus on automotive interiors, IoT devices, or similar fields);
β’ Experience in an engineering capacity on a production floor involving plastic processing or in the development of parts suitable for molding or casting processes;
β’ Extensive knowledge of thermoplastic processing, including plastic part design rules for feasible injection molding, basic structure and design of injection molding tools, common quality issues and their root causes, as well as an understanding of Mold Flow analysis and its outcomes;
β’ Familiarity with various plastic post-processing techniques, such as pad-printing, silk-screening, spray painting, chroming, and hot foil stamping;
β’ Knowledge of other tooling processes like Vacuum Casting in silicone molds, Compression Molding, Investment Casting, Sand Casting, and Metal Injection Molding is advantageous;
β’ Strong multicultural communication skills in English, with the ability to persuade, justify, and defend ideas and technical solutions in front of both external and internal stakeholders.
β’ Full-time remote position.
