DevSecOps Project Lead – Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Posted 1 day ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• This is a unique opportunity to create a production deployment pipeline for mission-critical DoD software from inception.

• In the role of DevSecOps Project Lead, you will be responsible for the entire software delivery lifecycle—from code intake to secure and scalable production deployment.

• You will design and manage the DevSecOps pipeline, determine the hosting architecture, and incorporate security and compliance directly into the delivery process.

• This position encompasses both contemporary commercial DevOps practices and the specific requirements of DoD deployment (IL-5 currently with a pathway to IL-6), necessitating critical decision-making across government networks, cloud environments, and hybrid architectures.

• This is a senior position that combines hands-on execution with system-level accountability. You will directly develop key components while overseeing the transition from an existing government-furnished environment to a scalable, long-term production system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in DevOps/DevSecOps engineering, including at least one production pipeline managed end-to-end at scale.

• More than 5 years of experience working within DoD cloud environments (Azure Gov IL-5, AWS GovCloud, or an equivalent IL-5 authorized setting). Familiarity with DoD impact-level boundaries and the CC SRG.

• Practical experience managing at least one complete ATO or cATO pathway in a production setting.

• US Citizenship is required.

• An active Secret Clearance is necessary (TS/SCI preferred).

• Willingness to travel up to 25% to USMC sites, Defcon AI HQ, and industry vendor facilities as needed.

🏝️ Benefits

• A fully remote, results-driven work environment.

• Competitive salary, bonus, and equity package.

• Comprehensive health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family, fully paid by the employer.

• Unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval.

• A flexible work environment that allows you to manage your own schedule.

• 14 weeks of fully-paid parental leave.
