This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• The DevSecOps Engineer will design, implement, and uphold security solutions in accordance with security policies.
• This role involves overseeing changes in hardware, software, or network configurations and applying best practices to secure the infrastructure.
• The engineer will work on the automation of cybersecurity measures and resolve system bugs as necessary.
• They will implement highly technical solutions utilizing a variety of advanced technologies.
• A degree in Engineering is required.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant hands-on experience in software Linux and/or Windows system administration.
• An active and valid Secret clearance is mandatory.
• Practical experience in developing and maintaining pipelines in Gitea, GitLab, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Expertise in automation design and implementation with tools such as GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Flux, Terraform, Nexus Repository Manager, Artifactory, and release pipelines for CI/CD of production-quality software.
• Proficient in developing automation solutions using Python, Linux shells, Windows PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar programming languages.
• Experience in remediating cybersecurity-related findings on Linux host baselines and Windows environments, including Active Directory implementation and Group Policy definitions.
• Familiarity with network systems administration and STIG implementation is essential.
• Knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift) is required.
