DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance the software development lifecycle by incorporating security measures at every phase of the delivery process.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to guarantee that applications and infrastructure are secure, compliant, and resilient.

• Optimize development and operational workflows for effective application deployment and cloud management.

• Create, manage, and support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Oversee release management across various environments including DEV, SIT, CAT, and PROD for releases, patches, and updates.

• Assist in code promotion, monitoring, and data correction processes.

• Transform manual tasks into automated workflows utilizing Copilot and AI-driven technologies.

• Integrate automation frameworks with AI-powered solutions.

• Ensure that AI scripts and programs operate on company-issued laptops within the established security and environmental guidelines.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines equipped with automated security assessments.

• Incorporate Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools into development workflows.

• Promote secure coding practices and standards.

• Automate compliance verification and code analysis within CI/CD pipelines.

• Work alongside software developers and IT personnel on code releases and deployments.

• Design and implement scalable cloud architectures.

• Manage containerization with Docker and orchestration through Kubernetes.

• Provision infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools.

• Monitor systems with logging and alerting tools.

• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Maintain both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Diagnose issues throughout the application stack and CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor and react to security incidents using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and observability platforms.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS standards.

• Provide training and guidance on DevSecOps practices to teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 13–20 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field, or four additional years of related experience if the degree is in a different field.

• Demonstrated experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or Cloud Security.

• Strong familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Azure DevOps.

• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Proficiency in Python and Java scripting/programming.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with security automation tools and vulnerability management.

• Experience in automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releases across various environments.

• Experience in troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving CI/CD failures or latency issues.

• Experience in developing enterprise cloud-native platforms.

• Experience utilizing Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience in creating automation scripts across diverse technical stacks.

• Experience troubleshooting both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments.

• Familiarity with GitOps tools such as Flux and ArgoCD.

• CKAD or CKA certification.

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Networking, or Security.

• Security Engineering or Cyber Engineering certification, including Security+.

• Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and OpenStack.

• Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles and web services, including SaaS and PaaS.

• Knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases.

• Comprehension of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD practices.

• Experience with configuration management tools.
