DevOps/SRE Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the daily operations and reliability of our GCP infrastructure.

• Enhance and manage our Kubernetes clusters, focusing on deployments, scaling, observability, and cost efficiency.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines and tools for developers.

• Integrate infrastructure across various teams into a cohesive DevOps function.

• Advance our release management processes and synthetic monitoring capabilities.

• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address performance, security, and incident response.

• Contribute to the strategic planning of our infrastructure, deployment, and platform reliability.

• Set up and participate in an on-call rotation for production infrastructure.

• Establish and oversee Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Error Budgets.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering.

• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (including Compute Engine, GKE, IAM, networking, Cloud SQL, etc.).

• Significant experience with Kubernetes in production settings.

• Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Proficiency in Python for developing tools and automation solutions.

• Experience with observability tools and stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

• Experience in production environments at an enterprise scale.

• Must be based in the US and able to work core hours that overlap with Mountain Time.

• Background in security-focused environments is a plus.

• Preference for candidates with startup or small-team experience.
