DevOps Team Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategy, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of our DevOps function.

• Provide technical guidance across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, and system reliability.

• Formulate and execute the team’s DevOps strategy in alignment with engineering and business objectives.

• Manage and prioritize the DevOps backlog, balancing business needs, operational requirements, and technical debt.

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing DevOps team.

• Ensure that production systems remain secure, reliable, and highly available.

• Communicate progress, priorities, and potential risks to stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a similar technical field.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role such as Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Technical Manager, or a comparable position.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing Agile practices within engineering teams and leading cross-functional project delivery.

• Strong hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS is preferred).

• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar technologies.

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent).

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.

• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and automation scripting.

• Proven track record of enhancing engineering processes through automation and continuous improvement efforts.

• In-depth technical knowledge of modern DevOps principles, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native operations.

• Capability to integrate security practices within DevOps workflows and the wider engineering team, which includes secure CI/CD, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability management, and security-focused engineering behaviors.

• Exceptional skills in backlog management and prioritization.

• Ability to balance operational tasks, business demands, technical debt, and long-term platform enhancements.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Agile Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
