This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate a thriving, high-performing engineering team distributed globally.
• Take ownership of the execution and delivery of critical, complex yearly roadmap initiatives focused on large-scale foundational infrastructure enhancements, high availability, and platform resilience.
• Oversee and drive change management processes within engineering and product domains. You will facilitate the seamless delivery of significant systemic changes, ensuring alignment, reducing friction, and dismantling silos between various technical teams to provide cohesive infrastructure solutions.
• Design, implement, and enhance robust support workflows, agile planning practices, and deployment/rollout strategies to guarantee operational excellence.
• Manage and optimize the global on-call rotation to ensure team well-being while sustaining high availability. Lead incident response (via Rootly), establishing clear communication, swift resolution processes, and blameless post-mortem analyses.
• Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Manager, DevOps Lead, or Site Reliability Engineering Lead, successfully managing globally distributed teams.
• Outstanding people management abilities, with a strong emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and nurturing team culture across various time zones.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering support frameworks, roadmap planning, and team prioritization strategies.
• Proven track record in overseeing Change Management lifecycles. You possess a unifying leadership style with the ability to dismantle organizational silos, foster trust among diverse teams, and guide complex systemic updates from conception to implementation.
• Extensive experience managing Incident Management lifecycles and maintaining sustainable, global on-call rotations.
• Exceptionally strong communication and organizational capabilities, with a proven aptitude for driving and coordinating intricate, multi-stage technology rollouts and deployments.
• A solid technical foundation in modern DevOps/SRE ecosystems. While hands-on daily work is not required, you must have a fluent understanding of the concepts and operational realities related to Kubernetes (GKE), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Relational Databases (PostgreSQL), and Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos).
• A strategic mindset adept at navigating changing priorities, acting as a stable organizational force for the company’s core infrastructure foundation.
