
DevOps Engineer – Red Hat OpenShift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and implement solutions to intricate application and integration challenges.
• Supervise our operational processes.
• Utilize state-of-the-art technology within our cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platform deployment in Azure and AWS.
• Attend and engage actively in customer ceremonies and activities (Scrum/Kanban).
• Innovatively address challenges in the DevOps domain, collaborating with customer Ops, Development, and QA team members.
• Maintain a proactive attitude and a sense of urgency.
• Listen to customers and teams, comprehend their pain points, and guide/mentor them towards smarter work practices.
• Document and create CI/CD Pipelines.
• Document and establish Infrastructure as Code.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to develop and schedule containers for deployments.
• Document decisions related to technology selections, best practices, and process flows.
• Automate build and deployment processes across multi-platform environments.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
• Strong expertise in managing version control systems (SVN, Git, etc.).
• Experience in managing continuous integration systems (Jenkins, Hudson, etc.).
• Proficiency with automated configuration management and deployment tools (Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, etc.).
• Experience in developing infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
• Strong background in Cloud-Native applications.
• Experience working in a multi-platform environment (Linux, Windows).
• Preference for experience with builds and packaging in a Linux/Java environment (Maven, rpm, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience with a structured change management process.
• A diverse range of programming/scripting experience (e.g., Python, Ruby, GO, etc.).
• Bonus points for experience with technologies for creating and managing virtual development environments (e.g., Vagrant).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Salary in line with years of experience, technical skills, and geographic location.
• Salary range: $100,000 to $180,000.
