DevOps Engineer IV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead the deployment of sophisticated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevSecOps integrations within cloud-native and hybrid settings.

• Create and uphold enterprise DevOps standards, automation frameworks, and governance practices.

• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, and performance by improving monitoring, alerting, self-healing, and disaster recovery features.

• Work alongside software architects, security engineers, and product teams to ensure DevOps practices align with security, compliance, and business objectives.

• Oversee crucial incident response and root cause analysis initiatives, guaranteeing lasting resolutions and lessons learned.

• Develop and execute environmental strategies (e.g., blue/green, canary, feature flagging) for intricate release workflows and zero-downtime deployments.

• Assess new tools, platforms, and processes to keep the DevOps toolchain up to date, cost-efficient, and aligned with team requirements.

• Act as a mentor and point of escalation for DevOps Engineers I–III, providing architectural advice, training, and knowledge sharing.

• Collaborate with leadership to shape the long-term DevOps roadmap and engage in strategic planning and budgeting.

• Conduct technical evaluations of pipelines, cloud resources, and automation solutions to ensure security, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to best practices.

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive modernization, platform migrations, or transformation projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent is required for this position.

• 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years concentrated on Data Engineering environments in a DevOps Engineer role or a similar position.

• Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, along with 2 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Data Engineering environments in a DevOps Engineer role or a similar position will be accepted.

• This role also necessitates:

• 2 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable solutions on the AWS cloud platform;

• 2 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform and CloudFormation, including designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure programmatically;

• 2 years of experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions; scripting and automation using Python; and automating deployment of data pipelines, ETL/ELT jobs, and analytics solutions;

• 2 years of experience with Data Engineering Platforms & Pipelines, including Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, Spark, SQL Server, SSIS, Airflow, dbt; and ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines;

• 2 years of experience with Monitoring & Observability tools including CloudWatch and Datadog, along with implementing logging, alerting, and performance monitoring for data workloads;

• 1 year of experience with Containers & Orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes, and supporting containerized data workloads.
