DevOps Engineer III – Biocomputing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Create and deliver innovative products and services swiftly.

• Empower our development teams to provide seamless service to customers across physical, digital, and cloud environments.

• Design a platform that offers services and frameworks to developers, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and highly available.

• Manage, automate, and troubleshoot Production Releases for a complex array of Biocomputing solutions.

• Implement Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps practices to modernize legacy environments.

• Research, test, and pilot a new metrics collection system that can be adapted for various application stacks.

• Define, select, implement, and support a new configuration management system aimed at simplifying the orchestration workflow centered on applications.

• Collaborate closely with development staff and provide training on proprietary knowledge.

• Develop reusable patterns and tools, then mentor developers in adopting these best practices.

• Support development teams in managing versioning and archiving of software artifacts and validation documentation using AWS/S3/Glacier.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or a relevant technical role.

• Ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to those outside the developer domain.

• At least five (5) years of experience with various technologies or databases, including: Windows / Linux Administration, AWS & AWSCLI, SaltStack, Docker, MS SQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and Splunk.

• Proven experience managing complex infrastructure projects with minimal oversight.

• Strong collaborative skills with teams both within and outside of defined groups.
