DevOps Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Assist the Engineering teams in any capacity to ensure their success.

• Support the daily management of live production systems to ensure continuous operation.

• Enhance and sustain processes that leverage containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to standardize and scale systems.

• Deploy and maintain essential applications utilizing cloud-native microservices architecture.

• Design, implement, and uphold secure automation solutions across diverse environments.

• Elevate the sophistication of our observability and alerting/escalation strategies.

• Oversee our continuous integration and delivery pipeline to optimize efficiency.

• Apply industry best practices for system hardening, monitoring, and configuration management.

• Continually assess existing systems for adherence to industry standards and propose enhancements.

• Stay informed about contemporary technologies and trends, advocating for their integration into products when appropriate.

• Help establish, document, develop, and promote high engineering standards and best practices across various domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a Technology role with a minimum of 1 year in a DevOps position.

• Extensive experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Cloud systems.

• Proficient programming skills in one or more scripting languages.

• Experience with AWS; GCP experience is an added advantage.

• Familiarity with CI/CD implementation tools and a solid understanding of CI/CD best practices.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and a comprehension of IaC best practices.

• Capability to learn and adopt new technologies through self-education.

• Ability to safeguard and manage confidential information effectively.

• Capacity to excel in a reactive environment.

• Exceptional time management and planning skills are crucial.

• Previous experience in Software Engineering is a plus.

• Must possess a functional laptop/PC, internet access, and a backup connection.
