DevOps Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Optimize workloads for effective resource utilization in Kubernetes and cloud services.

• Participate in the development, deployment, and management of new microservices within the platform.

• Evaluate technical specifications to provide guidance and assist development teams in achieving operational excellence.

• Collaborate closely with software developers to promote the creation and adoption of "Paved Road" solutions and DevSecOps practices.

• Support large-scale services across various environments.

• Aid in troubleshooting issues ranging from infrastructure network layers to application scaling challenges.

• This position involves participating in an on-call rotation - we emphasize shared ownership of our platform and strive to create systems that are resilient, observable, and require minimal intervention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps, systems engineering, or a similar position.

• Solid expertise in Kubernetes.

• Proficient with Helm.

• Knowledge of Python.

• Familiarity with Terraform.

• Experience with Linux.

• Proficient in Git and GitHub.

• Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Fundamental understanding of Kubernetes and Helm.

• Experience in building and operating software systems on Kubernetes clusters in production environments.

• Practical experience with infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.

• Understanding of principles for design focusing on scalability, performance, efficiency, and reliability.

• Self-driven and proactive, capable of taking ownership and delivering results.

• Willingness and ability to learn about emerging technologies.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
