DevOps Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and essential processes, along with reviewing logs and validating automated tasks.

• Engage in performance optimization, infrastructure enhancements, and resource management.

• Configure and provision hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage in accordance with standards and project or operational needs.

• Explore, develop, and implement innovative and automated methods for system administration tasks.

• Deliver Tier II support for incidents and requests; investigate and resolve issues.

• Maintain and enhance the knowledge base and documentation.

• Advocate for the adoption of cloud technologies, processes, and best practices among technology groups.

• Suggest innovative solutions to drive business growth and enhance client satisfaction.

• Adhere to all policies and standards while performing other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with AWS or an AWS Certification.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 2 years of experience in Linux systems administration and configuration.

• Strong scripting capabilities; proficiency in Python or Bash is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud networking and security best practices.

• Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions.

• Knowledge of DNS and web server configurations.

• Ability to leverage AI for rapid learning of large, complex codebases.

• Understanding of automating infrastructure builds using tools like GitLab, Terraform, and CDK.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as ECS or Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Highly motivated, creative, and self-directed thinker who stays updated on technology trends.
