DevOps Engineer – Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain both cloud-based and locally hosted solutions to enhance service deployment, availability, and operational efficiency.

• Continuously enhance processes and infrastructure to ensure ease of deployment, scalability, security, and fault tolerance.

• Automate various operational, testing, installation, and other workflows to boost efficiency and system stability.

• Collaborate with the service development team to tackle complex operational challenges and deliver value.

• Provide detailed documentation on resolving issues within intricate systems.

• Create CI/CD solutions to enhance developer productivity and facilitate rapid deployments.

• Support and extend existing service software developed in Kotlin.

• Partner with the team to establish and promote DevOps best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DevOps.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.

• Ability to effectively communicate technical challenges and their solutions.

• Experience in creating automation/dependency management tools such as Maven and Gradle.

• Familiarity with infrastructure management and deployment processes.

• Knowledge of container technologies including Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in managing Linux and MacOS operating systems.

• Experience with databases like MySQL and DynamoDB.

• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, and similar tools.

• Capability to leverage current industry trends and best practices to develop solutions.

• Understanding of monitoring solutions, such as Prometheus and NewRelic.

• Knowledge of the git version control system.

• Familiarity with the Kotlin programming language.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
