DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Manage servers and virtual machines operating on Debian, set up load balancers, implement DDoS protection, and utilize virtualization platforms like Proxmox VE.

• Configure networks, oversee DNS management, enhance routing and load balancing, and guarantee high availability.

• Design and sustain infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, AWX, and Terraform.

• Establish monitoring and alerting systems (Zabbix, Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Opsgenie), analyze logs, and resolve system issues.

• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for application management, develop Helm charts, manage clusters, and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.

• Set up and optimize high availability solutions for Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse.

• Create automation scripts using Python or Golang.

• Collaborate with development and QA teams while advocating for DevOps best practices.

• Implement and uphold CI/CD pipelines, identifying areas for process improvement and automation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a related position.

• Strong understanding of server hardware and experience with bare-metal hosting.

• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities for production servers running Debian/Ubuntu.

• Practical experience with virtualization technologies such as QEMU KVM, libvirtd, and Proxmox VE.

• Comprehensive knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, L2/L3 networks, routing, IPTables, and VPN.

• Experience in configuring and managing Nginx.

• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes, including the development of Helm charts.

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform.

• CI/CD experience with GitLab CI, ArgoCD, and Flux.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, MongoDB, and ClickHouse.

• Practical experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
