This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the operational stability, availability, and reliability of a global IVR platform across both AWS and on-premises environments.
• Assist with production deployments, environment configurations, and release management activities.
• Oversee the daily operations of high-availability IVR and voice platforms.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability by utilizing logs and metrics.
• Engage in and contribute to the investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Diagnose issues related to infrastructure, applications, voice, SIP, and call flows.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, architecture, QA, and analytics teams during incidents and release processes.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours production support as necessary.
• Embed security best practices ("secure-by-default") into the pipeline, covering access control and vulnerability scanning.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting production systems in a DevOps, SRE, or operations-centered role.
• Strong practical knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Extensive hands-on experience with EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and VPC networking.
• Significant experience working in Unix/Linux production environments.
• Background in supporting AWS-hosted relational databases (e.g., Amazon Aurora MySQL, PostgreSQL) in production settings.
• A solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and methodologies.
• Capability to operate network and traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Excellent troubleshooting, investigation, and production support abilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, data, and operations teams.
• Programming in Golang is a plus.
• Experience with CloudFormation is preferred.
