DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and assist with software delivery tasks, encompassing build, deployment, release, and environment management across various applications and infrastructure settings.

• Create, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines that facilitate the building, testing, securing, and deploying of applications with increased efficiency and uniformity.

• Set up, configure, and manage infrastructure in both cloud and hosted environments utilizing automation and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Diagnose and resolve application, deployment, infrastructure, and environmental issues with minimal supervision, including engagement in incident response and root cause analysis.

• Oversee system health, analyze logs and telemetry, and implement enhancements in reliability, performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Contribute to the standardization of engineering methodologies, reusable automation, deployment patterns, and operational runbooks.

• Work collaboratively across engineering, support, operations, and security teams to address issues, facilitate releases, and refine platform and delivery processes.

• Implement established security, compliance, and operational standards in all engineering tasks while identifying opportunities to bolster controls and mitigate risks.

• Engage in operational support and on-call responsibilities, taking ownership of assigned issues until they are resolved and followed through.

• Mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing, documentation, and daily technical collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or Operations support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Professional background in DevOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a similar engineering field.

• Proven understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, cloud operations, release management, and system reliability.

• Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows administration, scripting, source control, cloud platforms, and troubleshooting in production or pre-production settings.

• Hands-on experience with containers, infrastructure as code, monitoring, logging, and operational support processes.

• Capability to work independently on assigned tasks and projects, manage competing priorities, and deliver dependable outcomes in a dynamic engineering environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams while clearly conveying technical issues, risks, and recommendations.

• Proven accountability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in using approved AI-enabled tools responsibly to enhance productivity, support troubleshooting, improve documentation, and assist engineering workflows.
