DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Overseeing daily operational activities for GCP and our platform.

• Diagnosing and resolving system and network-related issues.

• Assisting Product Development with decisions involving systems architecture.

• Establishing and documenting methodologies for maintaining our infrastructure as we scale, which includes refining existing processes and creating new ones.

• Tracking and analyzing metrics related to system operations.

• Monitoring systems for security incidents.

• Enhancing existing automation and developing new automation to achieve all of the above tasks.

• Collaborating closely with our Development team to design and implement new infrastructure requirements to support upcoming initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A solid background in Linux/Unix, with a strong grasp of Linux configuration techniques (Our primary OS is Ubuntu).

• Experience in developing extensive automation solutions using standard Linux tools.

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef (with a strong preference for Ansible).

• Prior professional experience with Google Cloud Platform is required.

• Experience with (or willingness to learn) Infrastructure as Code is essential.

• Preference will be given to candidates with Terraform experience.

• A solid understanding of the complete Mail Transport process and its protocols (We utilize Postfix).

• Knowledge of the TCP/IP stack, fundamental routing, firewalling concepts, and the ability to troubleshoot networking challenges.

• Experience in database management, monitoring, and support, with a strong preference for PostgreSQL expertise.

• Expertise in leading automated deployment processes from inception to completion.

• Prior experience with enterprise monitoring systems is required, with a strong preference for Zabbix experience.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
