DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain automated infrastructure workflows utilizing Terraform (IAM, EKS, EMR, Lambda, S3, KMS, RDS, security groups), encompassing modules, remote state, and drift management.

• Take ownership of and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines: incorporating automated testing, security scanning, and safe/staged promotion with rollback capabilities.

• Oversee Kubernetes on EKS through Helm, including GitLab runners with KEDA.

• Provide support for AI/agentic workloads, including Bedrock AgentCore runtimes, gateways, memory, and identity; manage MCP servers; facilitate agent deployment and observability.

• Provision and manage access to AWS Bedrock (implementing least-privilege IAM, model enablement, and cost/usage monitoring).

• Manage access and change requests in accordance with SOC 2 controls — ensuring least privilege, auditability, and no console drift.

• Operate Elasticsearch/OpenSearch and SFTP data pipelines; contribute to cost optimization and AI-assisted DevOps automation (agent skills, runbooks, self-service tooling).

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC).

• Extensive experience with core AWS services (IAM, VPC/networking, EC2, S3, EKS or ECS).

• Proficient understanding of Terraform (modules, remote state, reading plans, etc.), Kubernetes + Helm, and GitLab CI or similar tools.

• A mindset focused on change safety and comfort with compliance controls for SOC 2.

• Some familiarity with LLM/AI tooling; experience with agent workflows or MCP frameworks is essential, with Bedrock knowledge being an advantage.

• Hands-on experience in constructing agentic systems is preferred, though not mandatory.
