DevOps Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain CI/CD pipelines that facilitate automated build, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Oversee, manage, and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, or self-managed).

• Provision and uphold cloud infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).

• Enhance system reliability, performance, availability, and scalability.

• Implement and sustain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

• Facilitate zero-downtime deployments, rollbacks, and release strategies.

• Diagnose production issues, including latency, errors (e.g., 502s), pod failures, OOMs, and networking challenges.

• Enforce security best practices, encompassing secrets management, IAM, and network policies.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers regarding deployment strategies, system architecture, and operational readiness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong proficiency with Linux environments and shell scripting.

• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Solid grasp of CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

• Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code.

• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).

• Comfortable with debugging and resolving production issues.

• Strong knowledge of performance, scalability, and reliability principles.

• Experience in backend or web application environments.

• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Bash or Python.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives from start to finish.

• Nice to have: Experience with Groovy.

• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or AngularJS.

• Familiarity with JavaScript / TypeScript.

• Experience with Node.js.

• Familiarity with MongoDB.
