This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering stakeholders to design and maintain a dependable, scalable, and secure platform.
• Optimize and enhance deployment tools and infrastructure by creating and maintaining new CI/CD pipelines while improving cost-effectiveness and performance.
• Work with the Engineering team to pinpoint areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
• Provide expert DevOps guidance for both existing projects and new initiatives.
• Establish and maintain test environments for both manual and automated testing purposes.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing, analyze results, and act on findings accordingly.
• Plan and execute ongoing routine maintenance tasks for applications.
• Participate in on-call rotations for monitoring, alerting, and incident response activities.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements within our infrastructure.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or automation engineering.
• A strong understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS.
• Hands-on experience in managing systems and services on a cloud platform (AWS).
• Solid knowledge of database technologies such as MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux Systems.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Packer for infrastructure as code.
• Experience in deploying and managing cloud services, monitoring and alerting systems, and addressing critical issues.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and CI/CD methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work independently and excel in an autonomous environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
