This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.
• Deploy and set up the Arkloud Platform within Government-provided cloud enclaves across IL5, IL6, and TS environment tiers.
• Provision and oversee Azure infrastructure resources — encompassing Virtual Machines, Key Vaults, AKS clusters, and storage — within designated enclave boundaries.
• Implement and manage workloads based on Kubernetes and container orchestration across various classification tiers utilizing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Use Salt-based configuration management to facilitate dynamic VM provisioning, drift remediation, and ensure consistent baseline enforcement across all enclave tiers.
• Deploy and incorporate necessary infrastructure components, hosted software, and platform integrations within authorized enclave limits.
• Establish operating system hardening and software baselines in accordance with relevant STIGs across all delivered systems and environment tiers.
• Create and sustain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, or similar tools to enable repeatable, configuration-controlled deployments.
• Ensure all deployed elements comply with enclave-specific security requirements and applicable STIG standards.
• Generate engineering-quality delivery documentation, including deployment guides, configuration baselines, and integration instructions suitable for classified Government review.
• Maintain code and configuration artifacts in a Git repository with well-structured documentation to support Government acceptance and knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with Developer and ISSE team members on integration, issue resolution, and cross-discipline delivery tasks.
• US citizenship is mandatory.
• An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required at the time of hire; interim clearances are not accepted.
• Active Security+ certification (DoD 8140 compliant) is required.
• 5–7 years of proven hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• Practical Azure experience, including VM management, AKS, Key Vault, storage, and Azure Pipelines or equivalent CI/CD tools.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Kubernetes — including cluster management, Helm charts, container orchestration, and workload deployment in classified or restricted environments.
• Hands-on experience with SaltStack in production settings, focusing on dynamic VM provisioning and configuration drift remediation.
• Proven experience in deploying and securing systems to meet STIG compliance across various OS and application types.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep, Terraform, or similar) in a DoD or classified cloud environment.
• Direct experience in classified or air-gapped environments (SCIF access, air-gapped networks, offline tooling).
• Ability to create clear, structured technical documentation suitable for classified platform delivery and Government review.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating the required technical competencies.
