This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Offer daily technical guidance to DevOps teams at Intive and CyberCommand.

• Establish clear scopes of work, deliverables, and acceptance criteria for vendor-managed infrastructure.

• Evaluate vendor outputs for quality, consistency, and compliance prior to production deployment.

• Monitor contractor utilization and performance, highlighting any under-performance or scope expansion.

• Manage the GCH AWS infrastructure across SCR, UBID, and RBM, including API Gateway and related services.

• Uphold infrastructure-as-code standards to ensure environments are reproducible, version-controlled, and auditable.

• Drive cost transparency and optimization across all environments, reporting to engineering leadership.

• Take ownership of the security posture in collaboration with security stakeholders.

• Manage the Auth0 tenant configuration and operational integrity across all GCH platforms.

• Oversee customer identity provider integrations, creating repeatable integration workflows.

• Lead the comprehensive CI/CD strategy across all product lines, ensuring alignment with QA acceptance criteria.

• Define and maintain the observability stack for monitoring platform health.

• Spearhead incident response and post-incident evaluations, ensuring actionable runbooks and procedures are in place.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance release speed and maintain quality standards.

• Contribute to the planning for a potential in-house GCH DevOps team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.

• Proven experience managing or overseeing DevOps tasks executed by external or offshore contractors and vendors.

• Practical AWS experience, covering IAM, VPC networking, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, and cost management.

• Demonstrated ability in managing customer-facing IdP integrations using SAML and OIDC, including onboarding for enterprise federation.

• Hands-on experience with an infrastructure-as-code background (Terraform preferred; CloudFormation or Pulumi acceptable).

• Proven track record in managing large-scale CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience in supporting production systems with observability, incident response, and best practices for reliability.
