This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Enhance and expand the organization’s fundraising initiatives.
• Build and nurture relationships with donors while managing a portfolio of grants.
• Seek out and secure meetings with prospective major donors.
• Ensure adherence to deadlines for grant reporting.
• Formulate a detailed donor cultivation and stewardship plan.
• Conduct research to identify potential donors.
• Organize logistics for donor meetings.
• Keep an up-to-date grants calendar.
• Write grant proposals and reports.
• Collaborate with program staff to enrich proposal content.
• Assist the Executive Director in managing donor relationships.
• A minimum of five years of experience in non-profit development.
• Proven ability to manage a grants calendar and multiple donor relationships at once.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying and qualifying new funding opportunities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Familiarity with donor databases and CRM software.
• Experience with the prison industry or working with impacted communities is preferred.
• Basic understanding of the prison industry, the criminal justice system, or a strong desire to learn.
