Developer Relations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Cultivate the Open Source Community: Take ownership of and enhance the community experience surrounding TruffleHog and associated open source initiatives, actively engaging users and contributors on platforms like GitHub, Slack/Discord, and other discussion forums.

• Promote Technical Education: Produce captivating content including blogs, demonstrations, tutorials, videos, release notes, workshops, and webinars that facilitate the adoption of Truffle Security tools by practitioners.

• Manage Community Programs: Lead regular interactions such as office hours, demos, technical sessions, and community calls to foster ongoing engagement.

• Enhance Research and Releases: Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate technical findings, open source releases, and product updates into clear, practitioner-oriented educational materials.

• Develop Launch Programs: Create scalable launch strategies for research releases, updates to open source projects, product launches, and major announcements.

• Interact and Assist Users: Proactively connect with users and contributors, addressing inquiries, collecting feedback, and enhancing the overall development experience.

• Advocate for Community Feedback: Identify prevalent issues and relay actionable insights to product, engineering, documentation, and research teams.

• Represent Truffle Security: Present at conferences, meetups, webinars, podcasts, and security events to increase visibility and establish technical credibility.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developer relations, advocacy, community engagement, open source, AppSec, DevSecOps, developer tooling, or a similar technical domain.

• Strong grasp of contemporary software development workflows, CI/CD practices, GitHub-based development, and security best practices.

• Knowledge of secrets management, secret scanning, vulnerability management, or secure software development methodologies.

• Capability to read, write, and clarify code; familiarity with Go, Python, Bash, GitHub Actions, Docker, or cloud platforms is advantageous.

• Experience in crafting technical content such as blog posts, demos, workshops, videos, presentations, or documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a talent for simplifying complex technical subjects.

• Comfort in engaging with developer, open source, DevOps, or security communities.

• Team-oriented, low-ego approach to collaboration, with the ability to partner across engineering, research, product, marketing, sales, and leadership teams.
