Developer, Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Software Development & Programming: Investigate, consult, and assess system program requirements to produce clear, efficient, and well-organized code that adheres to technical specifications.

• Refactoring & Optimization: Apply refactoring strategies to enhance code quality, improve program logic, and ensure the long-term maintainability of existing codebases.

• Security & Risk Mitigation: Emphasize security protocols throughout the entire stack, proactively detecting and mitigating vulnerabilities from HTTP request handling to database interactions.

• Technical Analysis & Scoping: Analyze the functional scope and technical intricacies of projects to deliver precise time estimates and resource needs for software assignments.

• Lifecycle Management & Deployment: Lead the release of new features into production environments; track system usage and performance to identify and address bugs or bottlenecks.

• Maintenance & Ad-hoc Support: Deliver ongoing maintenance and updates to existing software applications to maintain operational efficiency and ensure security compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of corporate experience with Vue.js, JavaScript (jQuery), HTML5, and CSS.

• Capability to set up and configure Apache, PHP, and MySQL environments.

• Expertise in PHP 7.x (OOP) with at least one backend framework, such as Laravel.

• Skilled in version control using Git (GitHub).

• Experience in MySQL database design and optimization.

• UI development experience with Bootstrap.

• Familiarity with API integration (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).

• Understanding of the HTTP(S) protocol.
