Developer, High-Level Platform – COBOL

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Become a vital member of the development team, engaging in task implementation during each Sprint.

• Conduct development-related tasks such as analysis, design, programming, testing, and gathering requirements.

• Take charge of your workload, promptly notifying the team of any delays or obstacles encountered.

⛳️ Requirements

• Understanding of agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban;

• Ability to analyze functional, non-functional, and agile requirements;

• Familiarity with COBOL testing tools and test automation;

• Proficiency in Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or newer;

• In-depth knowledge of the IBM platform (z/OS, DB2, CICS, JCL, TSO, MainView, Strobe, and Control-M);

• Experience working as an analyst within Mainframe platforms;

• Competence in relational database modeling and database performance analysis;

• Understanding of VSAM data files;

• Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA);

• Expertise in code quality and performance assessment for mainframe applications;

• Experience utilizing CICS access interfaces, CICS/WEB, WebSphere Message Broker (Broker), and IBM MQ (MQ Series);

• Software testing experience: unit, integration, system/functional, acceptance/story, load, performance, vulnerability, usability, accessibility. Automation of functional, unit, and load tests using software tools;

• Knowledge of source code version control concepts and tools used by CAIXA;

• Familiarity and experience in Configuration and Change Management disciplines;

• Awareness of design patterns and best programming practices;

• Experience with IBM tools (z/OS, DB2, RDZ, OMEGAMON, CICS IA, MainView), Eccox (QC-Cobol and QC-DB2), Computer Associates (CA SCM and CA GEN), Compuware (Abend-AID, Xpediter, File-Aid, and Strobe), BMC (Control-M) or their equivalents;

• System integration knowledge: messaging, JMS, Web Services, service bus (WebSphere Message Broker), REST, EJB 3.
