Developer, High-Level Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• This role is fully remote.

• Engages in activities that encompass the complete software development life cycle, from gathering requirements to supporting the final deployment of developed features, in accordance with agile development methodologies.

• Collaborate with the development team by taking on work items for development during each Sprint;

• Execute development-related tasks including analysis and design, programming, testing, and requirements;

• Manage personal workload, promptly notifying the team of any delays or obstacles encountered;

• Mentor and assist fellow developers within the project development team;

• Write and integrate software components as per technical specifications, utilizing the designated development tools, programming languages, and libraries for the project;

• Identify, construct, and test developed components to ensure quality assurance;

• Conduct corrective or evolutionary maintenance of software components;

• Create technical documentation in line with the contractual requirements of the project;

• Integrate components produced with those developed by other team members, employing the integration tools defined for the project;

• Establish and configure a local development environment based on the project’s requirements and needs;

• Offer support to the IT team and client users upon request, regarding the characteristics and details of the developed components, modules, and software packages;

• Execute and manage integration testing within the client’s environment to confirm the software and its components function correctly;

• Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and the software deployment in the client's environments as stipulated in the contract;

• Provide training and knowledge transfer to the client regarding the developed software to ensure the system operates effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Preferred experience: 3 years in the development and maintenance of systems on IBM z/OS mainframe environments, specifically with COBOL, DB2, and CICS.

• Proficient in Enterprise COBOL 4.0 or higher; DB2, SQL, and execution plan analysis; CICS (maps, transactions, VSAM);

• Familiarity with JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF;

• Tools: - IBM: z/OS, RDz (or IDz), DB2, MainView;

• - Compuware: Xpediter, Abend-AID, File-AID;

• - BMC: Control-M;

• - Eccox: QC-COBOL, QC-DB2;

• - CA: CA GEN, CA SCM;

• Experience with configuration management (Endevor or similar);

• Knowledge of version control practices, code review, and technical documentation;

• Understanding of unit and integration testing principles.
