Developer Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a representative for VAST Data at industry conferences, meetups, and events, delivering speeches.

• Create and present technical workshops to various audiences.

• Foster connections with developer communities, AI professionals, and data engineers.

• Engage with and support the Cosmos community comprising customers and partners.

• Produce technical materials such as tutorials, blog posts, videos, and documentation.

• Develop workshop resources for both in-person and virtual sessions.

• Construct applications, reference architectures, and proof-of-concept models.

• Design and execute hands-on labs focusing on data pipelines and AI workflows.

• Illustrate best practices for implementing data platforms effectively.

• Build and demonstrate integrations with well-known frameworks.

• Act as a technical consultant for sales engineers and clients.

• Work alongside product teams to convert customer insights into product enhancements and drive adoption.

• Create proof-of-concept AI agents and data pipelines utilizing VAST Data.

• Develop educational materials that explain how VAST Data improves AI development processes.

• Collaborate with partners to highlight the pipelines utilized by their AI agents.

• Stay updated on new AI technologies and frameworks to spot integration possibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in software development, developer relations, advocacy, or technical evangelism.

• Demonstrated ability to present technical information through public speaking.

• Strong technical writing capabilities, with a portfolio showcasing blog posts, documentation, or technical content.

• Proven experience in creating and delivering technical workshops or training sessions.

• Skill in simplifying complex technical concepts into engaging and understandable narratives.

• Familiarity with contemporary AI frameworks and data processing technologies.

• Understanding of distributed computing principles and technologies.

• Software development skills in Python, SQL, vector databases, and tools relevant to data engineering.

• Knowledge of modern advanced storage and compute architectures, particularly open-source, and their influence on data pipeline efficiency.

• Awareness of containerization, orchestration, and cloud-native technologies.

• Understanding of current database technologies.

• Experience with VAST Data products or analogous data platform technologies.

• Proven track record of constructing and deploying data pipelines in live environments.

• Active presence on social media within pertinent technical communities.

• Prior experience collaborating with enterprise clients in the data infrastructure sector.

• Comfortable delivering presentations to audiences with an engaging style.

• Self-driven with the capability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

• Innovative problem-solver who can create unique demos and content.

• Passionate about technology education and knowledge dissemination.

• Empathetic communicator capable of understanding and addressing customer challenges.
