This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Validate loss facts and relevant information to assess and confirm coverage.

• Manage the complete claim adjustment process, including reviewing loss details, analyzing insurance policy provisions, making coverage suggestions, and issuing payments within designated authority limits.

• Reach out to insured parties to arrange timely inspections of damaged property.

• Keep insured individuals updated throughout the claims investigation and resolution process.

• Decide on the investigation approach and depth for each claim.

• Engage external experts or investigators when necessary.

• Examine investigative and claim documentation to establish the facts of loss.

• Record all actions and communications related to claims in their respective files.

• Monitor and respond to emails, messages, calls, and inquiries daily and promptly.

• Set and adjust ultimate reserves, modifying them after any exposure-altering events.

• Interact with insured individuals, public adjusters, attorneys, contractors, and other involved parties to gather information, provide updates, and clarify settlements or the outcome of claims.

• Submit requests for reserve and payment approvals.

• Identify claims that require a Reservation of Rights or denial, draft coverage correspondence, and submit for management approval.

• Recognize claims appropriate for DFS Mediation or appraisal and advocate for the relevant ADR options.

• Attend designated mediations and utilize technical expertise to aid negotiations.

• Employ advanced negotiation skills to directly resolve disputed claims.

• Oversee the appraisal process and maintain communication to ensure a timely binding award.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Xactimate.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Effective oral, written, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Strong computer skills and capability to work efficiently under pressure.

• Interpersonal skills to build relationships with insured individuals, public adjusters, opposing counsel, defense attorneys, vendors, and contractors.

• Maintain a Florida 520 License.

• Acquire licenses for Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia if not currently held.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training in Property & Casualty Insurance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to frequently utilize computers and specific software applications.

• Strong computer and data entry skills.
