• The Designer III position is an entry-level opportunity aimed at assisting with modeling strategies, enhancing discipline execution, and ensuring high-quality coordination and documentation across various projects.
• You will implement TEECOM’s workflows, tools, and BIM standards with a significant degree of independence, acting as a vital technical contributor.
• Your contributions will include advanced modeling, drawing development, coordination leadership, documentation, and early engineering support within your primary discipline to facilitate project delivery.
• Collaborating closely with engineering mentors, project leads, and production staff, you will help uphold model integrity, steer coordination workflows, and reinforce TEECOM’s BIM and documentation standards.
• You will assist in rapid coordination cycles, proactively identify risks, and help teams maintain clarity and alignment across models, markups, and deliverables.
• Additionally, you will enhance TEECOM’s documentation system by refining workflows, elevating modeling standards, and supporting updates in GitHub based on insights gained from project experiences.
• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred), Architecture, or a related discipline; or equivalent technical or practical experience.
• Experience: Over 4 years in the AEC industry with strong expertise in Revit, coordinated modeling, and construction documentation across multiple projects, including familiarity with coordination processes or field-related activities.
• Preferred: Experience in delivering technology system designs (Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, Wi-Fi, and other technology disciplines) and supporting engineering tasks such as calculations, device layouts, and specification development.
• Proven experience in leading BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline resolution.
• Ability to maintain model integrity at a senior production level, including workset management, applying view templates, resolving warnings, and model cleanup.
• Capable of managing and maintaining coordinated models, producing accurate drawings with minimal supervision, and independently resolving production issues.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the capacity to manage workloads across several projects, lead coordination efforts, and support engineers and project leads.
• Solid technical knowledge of technology systems and engineering principles; ability to perform calculations, conduct product research, and contribute to design development with minimal guidance.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
